Amity Village serves the Orange, Woodbridge, and Bethany area. It began in June of 2011 with a public meeting in Orange for interested people to learn more about the aging-in-place concept. Under the leadership of Kate O’Brien, a committee set about publicizing the concept and services offered by HomeHaven. We are now over 30 members strong, with three co-leaders, and a growing, vibrant community taking part in HomeHaven activities and services. Since its inception, Amity Village has enjoyed a lively sense of participation. Regular local Amity Village meetings offer all members opportunities to share ideas, provide input for the HomeHaven central office, collaborate on projects, social events, and fun activities, and find many ways to help each other out with such diverse issues as computer/internet use, gardening, phone scams, and just staying in touch.
Co-Leaders: Judy Moore and Peter Wells
